Project name: Aion [Working Title still in Progress]
Brief description:
Aion is a 3d role playing game designed in 3dgs (3D Game Studio). The idea is the user will select one of the pre-generated characters and be thrust into a world that is built a new every time a new game is started. The player character will have a primary ambition or goal that he/she would want to do before they retire or die, as well as quarks and fears that will lend credibility to the reality of the character. Dynamic Cut Scenes will be used to draw the player into the characters life, and to create a connection with the player as well as fill in back story. The world itself will be a living breathing entity, with free non-linear exploration. Each city will have its own problems to solve, and different ways of how to solve them depending on how the player wishes to. Characters will age in the game as well to show the passing of time, and be able to build relationships with the NPC's and any party members they shall join up with them along the way. How you treat people will effect greatly on the story and game play.A realistic approach to Law and Chaos will be interacted, where players choices will effect how they are seen, not a pre-determined alignment.

Hey lostzac, welcome to CC. If this is truely a CodeCall community project you need to attach the source and binary files to your thread. This allows others to work on and view your project.
I did not know that......Thought not much of an issue as no code has been written, just putting a team together... and I can not post the source for the engine I am using.....Sorry for any inconvience
I moved it to the member projects section.
Thanks a lot I appreciate it, as I know I will be here a lot with questions...It has been a while since I have hard coded anything so my knowledge is rusty...
On the plus side I only need 2-3 c c+ people and the team will be complete
You may want to specify the version of VB (VB6.0 is quite different from VB.NET), Delphi (5 vs 2008), and any assumed libraries for C or C++ (I code on linux, so VS libraries aren't available to me, nor are Borland's VCL for C++).
Well the game uses Lite C which is Atari's scripting language, its a c derivative...
So I am more looking for 2-3 programmers who understand enough of c c+ rather visual or not to make working with this language easier...
As this game project is huge and for one person to code would drive him insane. I am hoping to divide the task up and succeed then try it on my own and fail miserably..not to mention a fresh set of eyes or thinking other then my own that may have better ideas on how to do things.
The compiler itself is free for download...
I already have taking care of the Delphi and VB part....they were for plugin's for features not included in the code....but I have that under control now thanks to some people who joined the team...
Thanks for the suggestions
Waiting for more news ,seems promissing
