New advertising technology that you will probably want to get on your websites: Trust Banners.
Pretty cutting edge!
It doesn't seem morally right:
Sort of like flashing an advertisement in a single frame during a movie.Below: The dots stimulate both left and right eye individually, stimulating the human mind to feel compelled to immediately consume or purchase the subject matter in the middle (eg: the apple shown).
To say the truth that did not stimulate me to eat a cherry or whatever lol.
I even found the testimonials very funny.. haha
But it's a cool concept.
I was expecting something more along the lines of: "New technology to circumvent AdBlock" or "Study shows users are less offended by adds of type (blah) placed at (blah), making them more willing to click". Maybe even a more advanced preferences tracking system to learn what people actually want. I guarantee you the Windows logo between those dots will NOT overcome my incredible distaste for Windows, MS Office, etc. It may work to introduce new products, but I suspect it will be less effective when someone has a strong attitude already.
I'm far more impressed with what sites like Amazon/Netflix are doing: let users express their preferences and make suggestions from those. I had forgotten the name of the brief splinter band from They Might Be Giants and found it again thanks to Amazon (Mono Puff). Similarly, finding that there's an anime version of The Seven Samurai was awesome (Samurai 7). These are the technologies that get my interest and result in sales.
Wow, that is some psychological technology right there. Essentially tricking the human mind into buying something, very interesting.
It doesn't work, sorry. The human mind doesn't work like that. It's basically a lure for the gullible.
I've always been interested been interested in psychological marketing, but I find it hard to believe that just a few dots can have such a powerful effect.
