Link Exchange Requests

I am getting a lot of link exchange requests, and they are all from India and stuff, and I think the link exchange managers are doing it wrong. They seem to be targetting completely off-topic websites. To people who want to do link exchanges: It is vital that you target similar websites, not only because they probably won't accept if yours is different, but because it will bring you little traffic and offer you no SEO. Also, because of all the India-related website link exchange requests I've gotten (and they're all so off-topic and impersonal), I now completely hate the country of India.

Currently I am putting links on websites I create and putting a link to those websites in my Blog, That's the only Link exchange I am doing at the moment and also like to exchange links with similar websites.

You won't see a difference for another 3 months, because the PR update is happening so you're probably not powerful enough to move up yet so you'll stay at PR0 for now. But PR doesn't matter, it's the SERPs!

How many backlinks are needed to make the PR rise at least to "1" as 1 is better than 0 by far and a PR 0 is no good for anything.

I get them too, and this one guy keeps emailing me over and over again, and I've responded TWICE saying, "Stay in India!" I know it's mean but I said that after like three responses saying, "Sorry I'm not interested." Sometimes a man just loses his patience.

That's an interesting site you have there, I checked it out. I got a few new link requests, apparently legitimate, and I actually link exchanged with them. Cool, aye?
