Has anyone ever tried any of these text-link ad networks? I'd like to know if they actually help or if they are just bloated crap like all of the other "link" websites.

No, They sometimes do help your pr, and add a little traffic. BUT, if the site has (usually) more than 100 links on one page, it will be banned from the google db, and is therefor useless.

I've used Text-Link-Ads as they operate different than the ones listed above. Text-Link-Ads actually gets your links added to sites as if you contacted the owner and did a link-exchange without a thousand other links on the page which result in higher PR and ranking.

I think I got you $25 of that $50!

The problem with text-link-ads is that the links are too high priced. You can get ads cheaper by posting on other forums.

The links are priced high on Text-Link-Ads because Text-Link-Ads takes so much, I think 50% of all sales. However, that's how they offer that $100 bonus for new advertisers and $25 for referrals.

text-link-ads links defiantly cost to much! They basically charge double the actual value, so they can take a tidy profit. Forums are a good way to buy and trade links, but they also have their problems. That’s why I started AdsBay, which is free and solves the problems found when trading in forums.

I post on forums with my Signature as the AD and I really get a lot of pageviews through this and really like it. lol
I say this is better and if someone knows you they will sure to snoop your site.
