Default .NET without .NET installed

Is there a way I can compile my VC++ .NET 2.0 program so that users do not have to have .NET 2.0 installed?

I really don't think this is possible, kinda defeats the point of .NET really.

Yeah I dont think so! thats why I dont use .NET! I know its cool perhaps but the fact that you will need .NET is a drawback!

Nope. Visual C++ uses the .NET Framework as it's GUI toolkit. The only way to make it so users don't need .NET is to switch to a non .NET language.

I heard once there was a program that would compile the libraries into the binary executable but I can't remember where I heard it or if it was true.

What is this program? This would be what I was looking for if you could remember what the name of it is!
