If you actually take a look at the thread, we were discussing getting started with Linux to a newbie. I said that Ubuntu was a good place to begin with Linux, as in "Ubuntu is the most similar Linux distribution to Windows".
Many aspects of Ubuntu are similar to Windows anyhow, so I'd thank you to understand what I meant.
Sorry, but what similarities you see between Ubuntu and Windows, I mean not even the taskbar is in the same position.
