    What Could Do This?

I forget if I ever asked this here, but when I go to some sites it will suddenly seem to destroy my internet connection. Not just that site gets slow, my entire internet connection suddenly is screwed up.

Any idea what could be happening? It's a lot of unrelated random sites. For example there is one forum site that does it. Yet some sites such as this one and many others NEVER seem to do it. These others, however, seem to do it EVERY time I visit.

I think it stopped for a while when some AT&T issue was resolved... so maybe it's somehow related to my stupid ISP as AT&T is stupid to begin with.

Also when I FTP files to my sites it ALWAYS destroys my entire connection every couple minutes so it takes forever to even transfer everything because it keeps pausing over and over and over and it ruins my entire internet connection.

A site itse;f having security software couldn't destroy my actual connection could it? This is so annoying.

    Re: What Could Do This?

When I trace from my comp to my site's server (shared hosting) it hangs a long time on hop 2 before continuing. And that's right around ehre so I am guessing stupid AT&T indeed has some messed up lines or pathways or w/e they're called. And I know from the past how long they ignore things like that before ever admitting there is a problem. When I move I need to stop using DSL apparently.
