Suggesitons Please!

I am a newcomer to computer science.Infact I have taken up Computer Science and Engineering as an Undergraduate Course.If you could help me discover new areas that I could try.In case I want to start earning Online how should it all begin?
What are the areas that I can explore in an attempt to earn some money on the net besides studying whats here in the curriculam???

You could try computer programming. Have you had a look at programming theory or any programming languages in the past?

I have started learning C in College(In fact done till Structure basics only).
Besides I know the BASICS of java and C++ as they were a part of my High School Syllabus!

You are interested in website development? I suggest a server side language like PHP or ASP or Ruby.

Yes,I already started learning XHTML.Should i start directly with PHP?Which language should I learn first??
