    Site suggestion....

Yeah, I didn't know where to put this exactly but...

Have any of you guys considered toning down the site a little? It's so cluttered I can hardly concentrate when looking around on the forums. Some of my favorite forums have really simple designs... and some of my favorite websites for that manner. I'm not putting the site down in any way... just giving a suggestion.

What do you mean? We will take your suggestion but please be more specific.
Is there too many images, to many forums?

@jordan: There are many forums, although that isn't necessarily a problem. Mostly it is the combination of fancy graphics, big buttons and all the ads (especially the one that cuts a topic)... although I guess the ads are necessary. Also, on posts, the fact that the user info is above the post is a little self defeating - I mean, the priority is reading the post, not finding out about the poster, right? I think it is more effective when user info is on the left.

@tcm: Nothing is actually wrong per se, but I just wanted to point out that a less cluttered site is usually better.

EDIT: Hold on... I just realized what most of the problem was (not all), the fact that I was using the codecall tech style... the other one's much better.

Ahh, the tech style was a bit ...... over-done. The default is the Fluid 3.6. I've been meaning to remove the old one. Now, whats wrong with the Fluid 3.6 style?

Not much actually... the only thing left to complain about now is all the ads... but that doesn't really matter (although the ads in the discussions are kind of pushing it).

I've been thinking about disabling them for registered users. I'll have to discuss it with the moderators/admins.

Well although sometimes I hate Ads, I think its important having a few ads spread in the site, Well I think that here Ads are well placed , they don't bother me that much The most thing that pisses me off is when in a website there are like 3 pop ups or so.. that really freaks me out! but thanks God here are none!

Yea i agree with that. Some free forums do that. But most of the time they forum looks cheap anyways.
