    Exclamation Is this true??

Well I hear many people saying that computers are taking over people's jobs so the jobs for people are being reduced..do you agree?
Personally I dont..why? well because ok perhaps in the industrial area it is but what about the IT area? like IT Managers, programmers and much, much more jobs!? we dont include that increase in jobs? huh?

What you people say about this?

Its not that computers are taking over peoples jobs, it is how we use computers and technology period. The Internet makes the world basicaly flat. Think about it. On a flat map, everyting is close together mostly. With Broadband, it makes IT Majors in India. The Average household income by county, the highest in Marin County, California which is at $44,962

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...%29_per_capita

    Check the list...

Lets say a programmer here is being paid, 40k a year. Well throw the internet in the mix with a Programmer in India who has been taught how to be a programmer from the age of 5 and pay them 12k.

8th United States $42,000 Per Year
    135th India $705 PER YEAR

    See the difference.

Fortunately technology makes things so much easier us now a days, but to MOST corps. all that matters is the bottom line. And i think the quality of work is mostly the same.

This can't be true due to the fact that as long as humans maintain the grid the machines will always need power.

Computers change the requirements for getting a job. They have forced some people to get training to be able to get a new job.
Programming is a branch of mathematics.

I've automated my job at work. I use to have to work around 12 hours a day doing mindless repetitive things but I started making programs that did the work for me.

On the other hand, they need me to tweak the programs so in effect, I've switched jobs (although my title remains the same).

I've also wrote programs that took the place of several employees. Although, they were released already, the programs automated their work.

I don't think the automation of work processes is an indication of letting computers do all the work. Eventually someone has to input all of the directives for the machine to carry out the order.

Certainly not, as computer automate more jobs, more jobs will be created for the people that make the computers automate. lol, its a vicious cycle.
