It was scary, I was in my networking class, and we were doing powerpoints in little groups, and I accidentally deleted our PowerPoint just a few minutes before we had to go up, and we were working on it all period! When I realized it was deleted, adrenaline rushed through me, I was so scared. Luckily, I recreated it while the other groups were presenting, although I didn't have time to put in backgrounds.
Why didn't you just recover it from the recycle bin?
yeah why not? theres the recycle bin!!
When something is deleted there it doesn't go to the recycle bin for some reason. It might not have been totally deleted, but I didn't have time to look.
where does it go?
Hi >> Saint
There are undelete programs out there. The data is usually still on the hard drive if you recover it quickly.
On the other end of the spectrum, is there a way to completely delete things? There are some files I have on my computer that I just don't want to be there...
There's a program called "wipefile". You can also write a small program to overwrite the file with ASCII 00's before deleting it.
I would just like to say I can't write programs, well, useful programs.
