I want to design my own wedding invitations.

In just over six months my daughter is getting married. Now that she’s set a date, I’m shopping for wedding invitations. I have seen many designs but can’t find anything I like. Have you had any experience with ordering well-designed wedding invitations?

My wife ordered ours and they turned out great. I think she picked out the design although I'm not sure what you mean when you say "design my own".

For ours we just ordered ours. It was so much easier, and also, you get all the bells and whistles like ribbons and the textured paper an all.

Unless you are on a TIGHT TIGHT budget, I would suggest ordering prof ones.

I haven't got married yet, so I can't say anything here.

But professional ones will probably be your best bet.

We designed ours in OpenOffice, exported the design to PDF, and had them printed at Kinkos on nice paper. The whole thing was easy and inexpensive.

There are lots of sites on the internet that sell wedding invitations now, but some are better than others. My cousin used a company called MonogramWedding.com and was really happy with her invitations and response cards. You might give them a try.
