What Inspires you?

I have a vague ultimate goal of helping people and animals in some way. I do not know if I will ever become make enough money to realize that goal on the scale that I want but I am trying!

My kindness for others came from my father (My mother is very kind also). When my father died I was with him. We were cutting a tree up, splitting the wood and stacking it into a truck for a poor family that could not afford heat. Until this day I still cut and split wood for others .

A lot of different things inspire me. The thrill of getting a chunk of code to work, the feel of holding my wife in my arms, the wonder of God's gifts to us.

The most inspiring person I can think of was my grandma. She retired and spent around 30 years helping Southeast-Asian immigrants adjust to life in America. She helped them navigate government regulations, and worked for free helping them sell crafts. She taught me a LOT about hospitality, graciousness, and helping people in need.

I want to become everything I can be and use that to serve God. Sometimes I'm temporarily inspired by thinks like money or popularity, but I've found all those things really do is string me along until I crash.

So I guess you could say God inspires me. The hugeness of a God caring about an insignifcant speck such as myself is what drives me to give life my all.

Jordan, I know you won't but remember to NEVER give up. It might take you a life time to achieve it but by then you will have hopefully inspired your children to do the same or something similar. And they can achieve your goal and look up to you.

That is completely true. I never thought of it that way, everyone has a different gift and your goal in life set by god is to fulfill it.

What inspires me?

Well, to understand what it is to be a human being.(I mean for real) When I was a child, I always asked people around me, why do we exist and live today, like we do?
Naturally people answered me with, God and the "evolution theory" some even with told me about the "chaos theory".(Which I find very interesting and dumb)

Today, I have high believes that God is the "greater" of all things. Yet, why do we live? For what purpose outside religion and so?
So, I would say my main goal that has inspired me to learn about philosophy; Ultimately became God.(quite funny eh?)
