    network card..? im using laptop ..~ by the way , im using the driver provided by the broadband .. so i dunno how to check does it supported by Ubuntu ..? can teach me?

    yes your laptop should have a network card. Besides how are you connecting to the internet, as in is it some kind of device (where does it connect and do you have some kind off webpage to it). Also what kind off brand is your laptop?(and what model is it?)

    im using digi internet ( sort of broadband )。。~
    broadband is actually a portable modem ..~
    my laptop model is lenovo 3000 G430

    there seems to be some trouble in getting digi internet working on ubuntu. Even though some have gotten it working, I can't really let you do this on your own. If your friend is more on the technical side you should ask him/her/it to help you. If you still want to do this yourself you can try and google for "ubuntu digi internet", keep in mind that fixing this may take hours and could (in worst case scenario) damage something.

    I think this comic does a really good job in describing how much time Linux can take up in configuring and fiddling around with.
