Going nuts on my balls of steel, help !

Okay, I have a problem, a problem most common of anything in the world.
    Heat problems with GNU/Linux.
Now what I am after, I have recently installed ubuntu minimalistic edition, to install my favorite things piece by piece most likely as Arch. However one thing is still happening from my older times when tried Arch with my "new" laptop(which is old by now I guess?). So anyone having a Turion X2 64 RM/ZM serie running any GNU/Linux distro. Without getting major heat problems?
I mean I get Idle temps in win7 39(celsius), full load(72 if not gaming).
In Arch, I got idle 66......and full load when compiling fun things....91...................................... ......
I just rage at these temps...So anyone have good idea of to fix this?
I have done some undervolting however the wonders of the Linux Kernel it just magically changes back to normal stats !
WOWers.... SO, please help... I want to use like before !
    Cheers !

I'm assuming that your fan is clean and you've made sure that they are all working properly. Another thing you can do is go into the BIOS and and disable SpeedStep if it has it. This will cause the computer to run much cooler. Hope this helps. Seems like you're not the only one having this problem. It's posted all over multiple forums.

I don't have SpeedStep, since I am using an AMD processor

What is the exact model of your laptop? Do you know if it uses an aluminum heatspreader?

Also I am not using Aluminium heatspreader, its pure cooper which is quite nice. And the fan spins really great, with that I mean it does it job.

Add the following to your /etc/modules:
    battery
    ac
    thermal
    processor
    acpi-cpufreq
    cpufreq-userspace

This is more of an anecdote than helpful; I gaffa taped a vacuum cleaner to the exhaust fan of a friend's overclocked P4 (this was a few years ago now...) to try and help cool it down after it repeatedly overheated.

It was a bit noisey, but on low-suck it did the trick. Probably not an ideal permanent solution mind...
