Crazy Cursor Problems on Ubuntu

Every so often, I lose control of my cursor. It starts clicking on things and scrolling around pages on its own even though I've taken my hands off both the mouse and keyboard. I've seen other people mention this problem in various Ubuntu communities, but I haven't seen a solution. Does anyone have any ideas? This generally happens while I'm using Firefox, but its happened with other apps, as well. I have regular PS/1 mouse.

They're probably, anti-linux trollers

It sounds like somebody controlling his computer, but the type of mouse movements is relevant for determining that.

I understand, it just seems funny that someone
would hack a Linux box and go for the GUI

Side note:
Dell laptops w/ built-in keypad sometimes slowly
float the cursor to the top of the screen on their own.
(no matter what OS)
