Anyone tried EXT4

So I've read that EXT4 is out and that it is great. Why? No one seems to really know why and I can't figure out why. I have yet to try it but I am kind of excited! Is it faster? What are the advantages over EXT3? Why would I want to use it instead of EXT3?

From the little I've read, it's faster, supports larger partitions, and does on-the-fly defragging.
