    Mount command

I don't know if this is the right forum but I don't understand what “loop devices” really are. Something like "mount -0 loop imagename.img /win", I know that It mounts that image onto /win but what is the deal with the loop?

    Thanks

    Re: Mount command

Treats an image file as a disk device, i.e. loop device.
