Is Ubuntu still the best distribution?

Each person has their favorite distro. My favorite is Linux Mint which is based on Ubuntu.

its depends on personal preference and how well you know linux. I prefer Backtrack 4, but it is difficult to use if your new to linux. Ubuntu is still one of the top I believe though.

........ why would you prefer backtrack 4.... It wasnt even meant to be a desktop install, its a live CD, with a bunch of hacking tools on it... ALL of which you can get by using "sudo apt-get install _____" on ubuntu..

You have to install it yourself by copy/pasting some stuff. It's made for hackers, not regular users.
