Change Public FTP Dir for a User in Cpanel

Anyone know how I can change the public (anonymous) FTP directory for a user in cpanel? They are going to have a bunch of files in there and I don't want to backup that directory every day because it will use too much bandwidth.

What files should I edit?

As the public directory is just what it says you would need to look at some sort of filtering, who's control panel are you using (i.e. who is your host)

There are a few too many variables for me to try an assist you.
Such things as setting them their own directory or writing a short bespoke script to carry out your backup on either a cron job, or upon your command may be available. It depends who / what your server host offers.

If you could post some further information, I'll gladly have a further look into it.
