Without even realizing it, my ftp server had been down for a long time (since my last reboot). ProFTP doesn't start on boot? I thought anything in /etc/init.d did. Can someone tell me how to make this start on boot?
did you try to modify it's config before rebooting? it will automatically start if you have not done anything. btw, what distro are you using?
Does it start manually? Are there any errors in the log? Is it possible you or someone else stopped it for some reason (perhaps to update it), then just forgot to restart it?
What error have you receive?
