Install on HDD?

As you might saw on my other thread I want to partition my HDD... but once I do that will I be able to install linux on it? And travel with it anywhere?

Of course, make sure you have partitioned it well to make room for the linux one. Yes, you can also travel with it, no problems whatsoever.
