Internal Hard Drive and Fedora 9

Hi! I'm trying to test Fedora 9 on my computer but I'm a bit worry about my internal hard drive. When installed, should I partition the extra hard drive? Will I loose my data?

If you are worried and this is your first time I would recommend using your extra HD. It depends on how you partition your HD. If you use a resizing tool (like partition magic) and create free space (space that isn't in a partition) then you will not need to repartition your entire HD while in Linux which would result in loosing your data.

To be on the safe side, I suggest you backup your extra HD before beginning.

You might want to consider setting up a virtual machine with vmware or something similar to get practice.
