    Ubuntu 8 problems?

I'm going to try Ubuntu 8 but I've read people are having a lot of problems. I've even seen it compared to Vista...

What problems did you have? How did you fix them?

I didn't have any problems with my installation. It worked fine, detected my sound card, video card, wireless, etc.

It looks the same but all the drivers are updated. I think Ubuntu looks horrible.

It does look horrible, they really should work on the GUI!

I'll try it on my PC then, maybe it fixes the video card problems.

How come you guys think it looks horrible?
I think it's clean and simple without too heavy graphics.
