Help!

I've tried to install Ubuntu but the hard disk made a weird noise and then the computer crashed midway through the installation. Now I can't go into windows and linux isn't installed. What should I do?

Try reinstalling the Linux distro again, or reinstall your Windows. Maybe you just wiped out the whole HD by mistake.

I think there is something hardware problem.. or maybe you have done something wrong ubuntu linux gives the option to install linux withing the windows and option when you insert the cd while windows is running.. check after installing your windows .. try it..

If windows was installed previously, insert the ubuntu cd and boot in livecd, open up gparted with the sudo command, select the partition of windows, and set it as boot.. you will boot from the windows partition again unless... you tried to install Ubuntu onto your Windows partition...
