FTP Errors

I tried to login with one of my accounts yesterday via FTP. I figured it was just were I was connecting from so I restarted ProFTP and left. This morning I tried again and still can't connect! I synced the passwords in WHM and tried again. Nothing.

In FTP I get:

530 Login incorrect.

In my /var/log/messages file I get:

Mar 27 07:09:35 prs proftpd: PAM-listfile: Couldn't open /etc/ftpusers

The funny thing is I can login via FTP with another user to the same server. I'm not sure what is wrong here. Any ideas?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I am connected to the server via SSH I can use the command prompt FTP to connect with that username/password fine.

Does /etc/ftpusers exist and is there anything in it? You should consider switching to PureFTP instead. This will also resolve your problem above.
