Can I partition an external HDD in Linux? And will the external HDD work properly?
Yes, you can. Use gparted if you want a graphical partition manager. It will work fine. If you format it using EXT or a Linux/Unix filesystem type Windows will not be able to read/write to it. Keep that in mind.
I would like to know the simple proceedure of partitioning the Exrernal hard drive. Can anybody make that proceedure clear??
Yeah, do I partition that as a normal internal HDD? I don't want to mess it up!
I would love to know how to do the partition of External HDD. Inform me the procedures to make my experience sweet....
I don't know if it makes any difference, but it uses USB.
