    Extending Logical Volumes

I was able to use lvextend to extend the logical volume but I need to extend the filesystem to use this space. I'm missing something here and I can't figure it out. Can anyone give me some help?

So you want to 'decrease' the logical volume and increase the filesystem volume? Or I'm misunderstanding?

Yes, you are misunderstanding. I've added space to the Logical Volume (physical space, one whole hard drive) but the partition (which is a logical volume) needs to be expanded still.

So you want to extend your partition? (from the freespace you have?)

Why do you want to do that? What's it good for?
