I'm curious to know, which media manager do you use? I like the looks of Songbird but it doesn't have any support for my iPod Touch. Banshee doesn't have the functionality to detect my iTunes media server (which is hosted on my Linux DNS-323 NAS)
I'm left with Amarok which supports my iPod Touch (through sshfs mounting but the iPod Touch must be jailbroken). Amarok isn't bad, has many features and looks nice. I'm content with it for the time being. I am curious though, what does the rest of the Linux world use and/or prefer?
I've got Amarok installed, but barely ever use it. If Foobar2000 was available for Linux, I'd use that in a heartbeat.
I've never used Foobar2000. I thought it was more for editing sound though? Did you check out Songbird?
foobar2000 is an audio player. I use a plugin on my copy at work so that it starts playing at 8:45am, stops at 12:00 (reminds me to turn on Rush Limbaugh), starts at 3pm (Rush is over), and stops at 5:30 (time to go home).
