Trying to install Java in Ubuntu / Xubuntu and all I'm getting is the first page of the EULA in the terminal... i pressed all the buttons on my keyboard (lol) but nothing happens...
Any ideas?
Thanks.
You should be able to do
Is that how you are trying to install it?Code:apt-get install sun-java6-jre
Yes, as far as I know I did exactly that.. but it got stuck on the EULA screen...
Yes, i want to know how to install these pesky addon programs. Java is such a pain to my last pc that it crawls to a screeching halt whenever the app is launched.
What flavor are you using? Most flavors have an automated way.
You might have downloaded the wrong JDK, try to fiddle around with the right selection. Usually after you accept the license and continue, it will then proceed to the installation an extract the needed files.
