    Best IM Client for Linux

    What IM client to do you use? I currently have Pidgin but I preferred the looks of Kopete. Kopete won't load links in my default browser though so I switch to pidgin but it looks ugly.

    What other options do I have for multiple server connections? Is it possible to fix Kopete?

    To fix kopete edit yoru ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals file. If there is a line like this:

    Code:
    [General]
    BrowserApplication=
    Put "firefox" (without the quotes) after the = sign there. If it is not there add it. It should look like this:

    Code:
     [General]
     BrowserApplication=firefox

    Same. Pidgin works well for both.

    I'm currently using pidgin 2.5.5 which i compiled it from source. I don't have KDE installed on my box. I can install kopete without KDE but pidgin is working for me fine.

    The only gripe about pidgin is i have trouble with sending the message along with the shift key. I usually notice this like on some IM clients too. Have you guys noticed it?
