linux java web start 64 bit

I don't understand this error? When I try to download and run a JNLP file from the web I get this error:

No 'javaws' found in path ... can't start the java web start application

Perhaps you have to select a different Java Runtime Environment by call as root:

    /usr/sbin/update-alternatives --config java

Note: There is no Java Web Start for 64bit Java available!
But this is crap. I run 64bit Java on Windows and have a web start. Any one have any ideas?

Java installers SUCK! Even on windows, usually they show errors on mine... with some files not being found and stuff like that...

As far as I know there is no 64bit webstart from Java for Linux. You'll have to install the 32 bit version of Java to get this feature.
