I would just like to know where do Javascript usually being used? I've seen it being used in web pages. Our school didn't introduces this one. And i would like to gain a little knowledge about it.

Well JavaScript is used in web pages for things like:

games, dynamic effects, form validating.

That tutorial covers quite a bit of javascript but for beginners, I believe w3schools tutorials are better.

@bkhhh: Java and JavaScript are completely different languages. javascript is a fairly simple language, Java is far more powerful.

JavaScript is run on the user's browser, as a client-side language - therefore, you can make changes to the page at realtime (known as a dynamic webpage).

JavaScript and Java have nothing in common. In fact, the names are only coincidentally similar. Originally JavaScript was called LiveScript, but due to trademark issues it was renamed as "JavaScript". As I said, no relation based on the names.
