I use JCreator because it is rather simple and can run on my USB drive.

I like BlueJ too. I'm a minimalist, so appreciate having a simple editor and class viewer. The biggest attraction for me though is the debugger, which is the best I've seen in any IDE (as far as usability goes).

Wow, I am surprised that anyone likes BlueJ. I took a class in Java that used this IDE and I thought it was the worst IDE of any language. I prefer notepad over this IDE for Java. I believe it is intended for learning only, not a real world IDE but I may be mistaken.

I like Netbeans and my second choice is Eclipse.

So none of you use gel? Read ere. I find gel very hepful and quite fast. And yes, bluej is strictly for learning. As i have write, on large projects, it slows down. Bu it is very good for debugging and snippets testing! And eclipse is definitely good!

I've never heard of gel before. I prefer to do most of my programming inside a text editor except for vb.

I like eclipse though for a lot of programming stuff.

Yes but Gel isn't being developed anymore. Since JCreator is still in development, I'm going to continue using it and it's amazing cause it can run on your USB drive.
