Angry Java, Portable?
It seems to me that this supposedly highly portable language isn't so portable. Wasn't it Sun's intention to make it a language to run on all OSs even on smaller devices? It seems that it works on every OS as long as you have same version. Anyone have similar circumstances?

There is a wrapper that lets you compile the version of Java into the application you develop. This allows the client to not even have the JAVA engine installed. I forgot what it is called but it is a commerical app.

I've heard of the wrapper. We have a lot of problems with Java at my work because of the different versions.

thats right, sun systems did make it to be run on smaller devices and all OS but i guess they nowdays run better on smaller devices than on OS. as they give whole lot of trouble on OS

i dont have any problem with java it runs well in my pc
