    Best Compiler for Macintosh

    Hey,

    I can't figure out how to make a simple Java program with Xcode (I dont want to make it a .app I just want to compile and run) so, either:

    How do I do thaht?
    or
    What is a decent (free) compiler for the Macintosh?

    Try Eclipse, it is very popular for Windows, Mac and Linux and also free.

    thx, i think i triedthat once though...i couldn't figure out how to nstall it though any suggestions on how to install it?
