Default Terminate a method.....
I've got a button on a jFrame, which does various things, getting data, etc.
I've got a few try/catches in the buttons method and basically if it gets to a catch method i want the method to terminate, theres no point in continuing!

I'm not sure how you do it.I don't want to terminate the whole program, just that method.
How?

Well if it gets to the catch, obviously the user did something illegal, why not just prompt the user telling him what he did was wrong and have them redo it?
