Simple Tick Tack Toe game

I am looking to make a simple Tick Tack Toe game for a project. I have a very basic understanding of Java but i have no idea where to begin with this. If someone could give me a suggestion on where to start with this I would appreciate it.

There's some Tick tack toe tutorials in the Tutorial section and if I'm remembering right you can also found a Java one, maybe you would like to check it out
