I was wondering what you guys think the best java IDE is cause I have netbeans and I find it a little bothersome at times. I'm not sure how to make a poll so if someone could hook me up with that little detail too ?![]()
I like personally like Eclipse better than NetBeans. Try it out.![]()

Science is only an educated theory, which we cannot disprove.
I have never used Eclipse but I have heard that it is good. I like NetBeans, but only because it's the only one I have ever had to use.
In class we use JCreator, and it seems really good but I think that might be because it's a lot simpler then NetBeans (or at least it seems) but then again, simple is good..
IntelliJ is also very powerful
I don't have a favorite, I have the habit of changing IDEs from time to time.
Its not good to get used to a single IDE because you never know what the company you are going to work with will want you to use. It is good to get experience with many IDEs that way you know how to change back and forth.
I personally have used BlueJ (VERY simple IDE I was forced to use in class), Eclipse, and Netbeans. For general use I suggest Netbeans, if you want to use a lot of advanced plugins and things then go with Eclipse. Stay very far away from BlueJ because it leaves out a lot of important things and may confuse beginning programmers.
So, for regular projects I use Netbeans, If I am doing something that needs a plugin like writing an Android application then I use Eclipse.
Eclipse rulez in my opinion .
Cool, thank you. I think I might download JCreator and Eclipse then just I so know them in case I ever need to use them.
