Hello,
I'm french and I've installed ionFiles. I traduced the "english.php" language file, called the traduction "french.php" and putted it into "components\com_ionfiles\language" directory.
But no change... the download page remains an english page.
The only thing that worked was to call my "french.php" "english.php".
I did not know what to do else...
Here's my files, I hope it could help...
What do you mean with "+ rep given" ?
I don't understand.
We have a reputation system at CodeCall - if you do something useful, a user can +rep another, to give you reputation points. This increases your Rep Power and the number of green bars you have.
My rep power is 20 (more than most people, except the mods), so I gave you 20 rep points, as you were useful. If you get 200 points, you become a Guru like me!
OK... thank you then..
And regarding the fact that changing the name is the only thing I could do to turn "french" my component ? I 've you some clues ?
Not for me... I unstalled ionfiles. Not that I was unsatisfied, but I need a pay-to-download-component and I did not manage to make P2DXT component working.
May be Edgar don't longer use ionFiles, but he is not alone
So his question is still open!
In this translation file French datas are OK, but ionFiles don't use them.
Also, if I rename the french.php to english.php some data (really a few) are in French the rest stay in English.
Where could be from the other text ?
Thanks
up.
Then ?
I think I'm going to have to make a quick validation tool for language files to insure every variable is included.
Was something missing then? I also believe Joomla 1.5 uses some other language system method, do you know anything of this?
