Hi Jordan,
Thanks for the new version.
Unfortunately I cannot get this to work.
Install is a success.
When I access the IonFiles component from the Menu I get this error:
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in /home/e-smith/files/ibays/joomla/html/administrator/components/com_ionfiles/admin.ionfiles.html.php on line 286"
Any help you can give would be appreciated.
Cheers
Here is line 286 from admin.ionfiles.html.php
Can you verify that it matches the line 286 in your file?Code:function edit( &$row, &$lists, &$uid="") {
Thanks for the response.
I noted that this file was not in that directory at all.... so I can only think that the install failed.
The file is now in place and I confirmed that line 286 is the same as you have indicated.
I still get the same error....
Cheers
Can you give me admin access to your Joomla! installation and PM me the username/password?
i have this exact same issue and have no luck to make it make too, Jordan, any fix for this?
This is because of Legacy mode, trying to access the non 1.5 components inside of ionFiles 4.0. I haven't finished writing it yet but I believe the fix will be easy. I have no time frame as of yet.
Hi Jordan,
In my case, I have disabled legacy mode and seem to get the same result.
Are there any other dependencies I can check?
Cheers
Can you download the latest version (4.0) and see if the problem still exists? If it does I'd like to login to your Joomla Installation and take a look.
Hi Jordan,
We are making some good progress. (I had no luck with version 4.0 Beta 1. This just displayed blank screens)
4.1 has installed successfully !!
Here are the bugs that I have detected so far (not sure if others are experiencing these)
1. Edit Files (in Manage Files) - The apply button "saves" but does not apply - meaning it operates like the save and does not let you stay in the same screen.
2. Display view in downloads - Shows the title "Product" in line with size. I cannot see any way to modify this or preferably turn it off
3. The files in the download screen - are either corrupted on download... somewhere this is broken.. I cannot download files.
4. In the admin Interface - Components - the Icon is missing for ionfiles.
My website:
Welcome to CST Website
My Hidden Directory screen:
CST CMS
Wish List:
1. Ability to control the fonts and background for the categories that are displayed in the download screen (like your downloads page)
2. Search Engine Friendly Link to the download screen
Keep up the great work !!!!
Cheers James
Hey James,
Thanks for the bug reports. I'll look into them. As for the corrupt downloads can you provide me with a temporary admin account to your Joomla! installation so I can take a look (PM me the details please)?
