    Question Pages

    Hello,

I was just wondering if there is any support, or plans to support multiple pages within a category listing.

For example, I have a category called "Releases" and it has 50 + documents in it now. The page that displays them is starting to look very long and I was thinking it would be better to limit it to say 20 per page.

Is this something which has been considered at all?

    Thank you.

Hey Monko, I have considered it but you are the first person to actually request it.
Are you linking to each category individually (IE: Programming Tools) and suggest that each category have a limit or are you talking about the entire ionFiles page (IE: Community) ?

    Re: Pages

I'm talking about the category page itself, as in your example "Programming Tools".

Some categories within the setup I've been asked to work with are growing to a large size, as such your "programming tools" example could be 50+ items long in this project and growing at 15-20 a year. Obviously for now 50 is just about fine, but I feel 2 years down the road when the lists 100+ long I'm going to have to come back and implement some sort of paging, hence asking now.

Sounds like a valid and useful feature. I'll add it to the todo list. Have you considered using the Archive feature in the interim?

    Re: Pages

I've had a brief look over it but thought I would ask about the paging first. I think for now I will leave it how it is and then hopefully in the coming months update the system once you've managed to implement it.

I've been very impressed by ionFiles in general and want to thank you again for this great package.

    Re: Pages

You are very welcome. A new beta release should be released shortly that fixes a few minor bugs. If you find any bugs, please let me know.
