    docman & ionfile

    Hi
I am using Docman but it displays downloads of top 50 files only.
If I add Ionfile will there be a conflict?
or I will just be able to see downloads counts with the two extensions?
    (I use Joomla 1.0)
    Thanks
    Pancho

Hello. There should be no conflict as they are two separate components. That said, I have never tried it so I do not know.

    Re: docman & ionfile

    Thanks Jordan, I will try
I assume that Ionfiles counts ALL downloads from ALL files (included in one given directory, if I understand well: can this directory be customized?)
    and that
I can continue uploading files through Docman.
    Is that right?
    Cheers

I'm not sure what you mean. If you upload them through docman and then add them to ionFiles it will count them. It is not automatic though.

It will count them so long as they are being downloaded through ionFiles. If you upload them through docman and download them through docman, ionFiles is completely oblivious to the downloads.

Yes this is what I suspected; that is there is a step to declare or "add them to Ionfile": I haven't tried Ionfile yet so I don't know how that works but I trust this operation is easy (and does not conflict wuth Docman); I will try. Thanks!

You can see a demo of ionFiles here: CodeCall Programming
Basically, you add files and it has a front-end that allows users to download them.
