    Hi There

    Hello all

StarLite Moon here. I dropped by hoping to learn a thing or two.

A little about herself. I'm an old lady who loves games, playing them, writing them and making them. I am currently in the process of finishing up a free point and click adventure game called Incident At ROANOKE.

I'm also a big fan of machinima movies and will be doing the voice in a friend's movie called The Man From Schenectady.

I'm here mostly to learn how to use Delphi in making games. I guess that's about it. Hope I don't become too much of a pain

    Good day everyone

Thank you for the warm welcome.

The game is just one puzzle and a quite a few male voices away from being completed. If I can't get help with this puzzle I am going to have to leave it out which I don't want to do because it's a great puzzle that a lot of people love.

I'm going to post the script in the Delphi area because the game engine I use, Point and Click Development Kit uses Delphi 7.

We are working on the voices everyday. There is a lot of dialog in this game because it's a full length game. People don't seem to realize the size of the game when they tell me that "that's an awful long time to work on a game." I've been working on it all by myself on and off for the past 5 years.

But a lot of health problems and life in general just kept getting in the way. I'm not very good with coding and I wish I was. I have about 20 more games to write and make and I'm not getting any younger. I have written 3 more games that I'm anxious to get started on.

It's a great hobby for me to keep busy with. I'm starting to ramble on now, I think I'll cut this message short. I'm not at my other computer so I'll have to upload the code later. Take care everyone and have a great day

Cool, I'll look out for when you upload the code and will take a thorough look.

So have you completed any games so far ?

    Re: Hi There

    Hi James,

Roanoke is my very first attempt at a game. I went about it all wrong. I thought I could learn as I go, but that was the biggest mistake I could have made and now I'm paying for it. I have been trying to work out this code all night but I'm at a stand still. I will post it in the Delphi section if you'd like to take a look. I'll see if I can put a couple of links to pics of the before and after of the puzzle. I hope someone can help, I would hate to leave this puzzle out of the game. Thank you for looking
