I forgot the command that allows me to view current java environment values of "MaxPermSize" and etc...

#638243 Google's app engine - Email Sending

Posted by Yonatan on 09 September 2012 - 07:51 PM in Python

So im pretty new to python, im using the appengine as a hosting for my site.
I am experienced with the normal programming languages and know my way around ASP.net but I do not have much experience with python.

I am looking for help / detailed tutorial for beginners in order to make a "Contact Form":
The user enters his own e-mail, e-mail's topic and body and the site needs to submit this details (from the admin's e-mail to the same e-mail). This can be done easily with PHP but because appengine do not support PHP I need to this with python with the structure of the appengine.

I need some one who know his way around appengine and is able to help me or send me a detailed tutorial.

Thanks in advance.
Yonatan.

Sorry for double posting but somehow the edit was bugging for me, The thing Im looking for is to make sort of "slider" Im not sure its called a slider exactly, but a thing like with <ul>...<li>.... so a visitor could swap pictures with.

If anyone knows any tutorial that relates to that it will help me a lot, thanx!.

--Edit:

Found my answer: http://www.queness.c...der-with-jquery

Not exactly a slider but the required functionality is in there.

#637607 [Request for guide] Image Slider

Posted by Yonatan on 03 September 2012 - 06:46 AM in HTML, CSS and Javascript

Hi everybody, I wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can find a simple basic tutorial on how to create a slider (I hope its the right term for what im looking, correct me if im wrong) using Javascript and JQuery.

I want to put a small slider above the footer of the page so it will allow a user to change the background pic of the page on a click.

Ex: Posted Image

I got the required Photoshop and Programming skills, its important the the tutorial will not use a plug in or a previously created JS file because I want to learn how to produce my own sliders.

Thanks in advance.

#632690 [SOLVED] (Array)I'm Starting To Lost About How To Write Code...

Posted by Yonatan on 28 June 2012 - 01:37 AM in Java

You need 2 loops:

1. first loop: for each employee, or in other words iterate through the records

1.1. employeeHours = 0 //This will ac**ulate the work hours of current employee
1.2. for each day in the record
1.2.1. employeeHours+= arr[recordIndex][dayIndex]

1.3. //Do something with the data

#632375 Check If Graph Is Connected?

Posted by Yonatan on 25 June 2012 - 02:09 PM in C#

But im not sure, dont have much experience with this...

#632364 Check If Graph Is Connected?

Posted by Yonatan on 25 June 2012 - 12:16 PM in C#

First of all, add x to L, not its adjacent nodes.
and Init K to only x

than in the while.
Find and remove some vertex y from L
for each edge(y,z)
if z not in K.
add z both to K and L

after the while
if(K.count != N)
return false;

else
return true;

try that, let me know

f(int p) returns the p element in the following series:

1,2,2,4,8,32,(32*8), 32*(32*8)...

In other words the multiplication of the previous 2 elements,

--- In order to solve those kind of problems I strongly recommend choosing a small p (4 for example) and trying it on paper.

f(4) = f(3)*f(2)
f(3) = f(2)*f(1)
f(2) = f(1)*f(0)

f(1) = 2
f(0) = 1

thus,
f(2) = 2, f(3) = 4, f(4)=8.

#632199 Base64 And Utf8, Why Did It Worked?

Posted by Yonatan on 22 June 2012 - 11:42 AM in C#

Sry guys can't post the code since its not on this pc, but, I think Alexander answered my question.

Base64 is the encoding Ive needed to handle byte[] representation in a text file.

Thanks again!

#632118 Base64 And Utf8, Why Did It Worked?

Posted by Yonatan on 20 June 2012 - 02:24 PM in C#

I hope this is the place for it, or maybe this should belong to the security forum?..

Anyway, I was working on a Triple-DES encryption, with a 16byte key, CBC mode, Zeros Padding.
I needed to write encrypted data to a txt file, and then read and decrypt it.

So I've used UTF8 Encoder to transfer strings and byte[] arrays, and it was all fine, until I wrote the cipher to the txt file.

When I read the contents it was suddenly corrupted, Ive wrote a byte[16] and read a byte[24].

This was fixed using the Convert.FromBase64 Method, using that Method Ive successfully read a byte[16] and decrypted it successfully.

So Im trying to figure out what just happend.

I do not have a good understanding of encodings and the Base64, Im trying to figure out why did the UTF8 Encoder couldn't read the data but the Base64 did.

Any Comments would be much appreciated.

#632114 Updating a DB record through a website

Posted by Yonatan on 20 June 2012 - 02:14 PM in General Programming

Do you mean something like SQL-Injection?

Or just a record update according to a username (from a TextBox f.e)?

If its the 2nd option, are you after login? or before?

--Edit: Or maybe you refer to an external http request?

Just one last question:

What is the: AuthenticationSchemeSelectorDelegate?

#632082 Java - Take For Loop Variables And Put Into 2 Separate Array

Posted by Yonatan on 19 June 2012 - 11:30 PM in Java

---EDIT:
Missed the i++ in kernelcoder first for increment section (Too early here :]).
That should work fine, although for a beginner assignment do not use Lists.
