go to Analyze That Host

in ff, it looks perfect, (the horizontal menu, hover over the search function)..

then look in IE, its totaly messed up, I have spent like atleast 2 hours looking into it, no idea how to fix it, I figured id finish the site, and worry about it last, and if I cant fix it, ill just find a new script for it.

Yeah Internet Explorer and Firefox render HTML and CSS differently. It is really annoying that they support CSS and HTML very differently.
