I like notepad because it is really small. I agree the bigger the hard drive the more likely you are to fill it sooner cause you have more available space.

more like the newer version of microsoft word you have the faster it fills up, file size gets bigger with each new release

I remember the office 97 one, it was ok. Then in the office XP, they included a lot of useless stuff... but I'm not interested in trying the new one. I have Vista with office XP

Yes I have, not for web design of course though.

I use it as my main word processor and office suite except for school.

Yeah I did use it, on Ubuntu on my PC. But I'm nearly all the time on laptop using Windows.. so I rarely use it.

Word only wins because it comes in the office suite of windows that has a lot of extra toys to play with (such as microsoft groove)
