I write mine in Notepad at school, notepad++ at home and sometimes in Dream weaver.

Like chilli5, I use an ancient version of Dreamweaver in school. I used to use Notepad2 at home, but now I've switched to Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition

I tried notepad2 but I didn't really like it, I like having one window open and be able to edit several documents in that one window.

What dreamweaver version do you use in school? My school has VWD also but I don't know what they use it for, they use dream weaver in their classes.

It's something REALLY old. As in the windows look like they are run in Windows 95 (you know - the old classic theme). Get the current version of Dreamweaver, turn it back about 5 versions, and you've got our one.

I agree, I found Notepad2 too limiting. Notepad++ can open more than one at once, but then so does VWD. It does the same as Dreamweaver, except it's slightly less powerful - and £400 cheaper.

Wow, that's a really old one. The one my school uses is Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, so i think it's newer. The version I have at home is Dreamweaver 8.

If I could use VWD i would, it has all the features of notepad++ so it is better but if your into text editors, notepad++ is by far the best text editor.

Although one thing that I like about VWD, is you can test ASP.Net with it, dreamweaver doesn't do that.
