I use notepad++ because it has syntax highlighting and you can create any effects you want.

I didn't know notepad2 had syntax highlighting, so which is better notepad2 or notepad++?

For HTML and PHP, I use EditPlus..it's kinda like notepad, but with syntax highlighting.

I do believe that EditPlus, notepad++ and notepad2 are pretty much alike.

What I REALLY would like is a wysiwyg-editor that outputs nice template files, and with the ability to specify loops and stuff like that in the editor itself. Would be good if it didn't have the template syntax built in, but instead used config files or something, so you could specify your own template syntax.

If their almost the same, I'll just stay with notepad++ for its works on my USB drive. That would be a nice WYSIWYG editor, i would like something like that.

On Windows I use Context for the lightweight stuff (single file editing), and I use PSPad for heavy stuff (multiple file editing).

On linux, I mainly use Joe or Vi to edit my files.

Um yeah Eclipse is really good. I only use text editors for writing HTML, PHP, CSS. Mostly any code except for Visual Basic I write in a text editor. Which is usually notepad++ except at school were required to use notepad.

I'm doing HTML in school, can you believe I lost marks for following the new standard rules?
