And also, WYSIWIGs usually provide less in the way of tweaking and customising than if you know XHTML well.

Yes, WYSIWYG editors are limited. I just found out that notepad++ can take a document, made with HTML and change it to valid XHTML with CSS and that's just amazing.

Yes
In the latest version, it's in a menu called "TextFX" and under "HTML tidy". Click convert to XHTML. ![]()

I think I have posted this on 5 different forums lately...
I prefer NetBeans for HTML (and Java and C++ and [insert something here] and...). But sometimes Notepad will do.
